A European leader in airport innovation joins forces with ALBATROS.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, one of Europe’s busiest and most forward-thinking airports, plays a key role in the ALBATROS project as a demonstration site. Handling over 60 million passengers and 450,000 flights annually, Schiphol stands out for its efficiency, connectivity, and commitment to sustainability.
In ALBATROS, Schiphol contributes significantly to the validation phase, working closely with other key airports – including Rotterdam, Athens, Porto, Faro, and Beja – to test innovative aviation solutions in real-world settings. With an advisory role, Schiphol ensures the operational feasibility of new concepts developed within the project.
As part of the Royal Schiphol Group, Schiphol Nederland BV participates in ALBATROS as an Affiliated Entity of Rotterdam Airport BV, bringing valuable expertise in airport operations, infrastructure, firefighting, and innovation. This collaboration strengthens the project’s ability to shape a safer, more resilient, and sustainable future for aviation.
